Founding Lifetime
When will I be charged?
$100 today, when you reserve your spot. Then nothing, not a cent, until we break ground at 1939 3rd Ave. On groundbreaking day, we collect the remaining $900, and that's the last membership payment you'll ever make. (Court time itself is booked and paid per session in the app, at 75% off for founders.)
Does the $1,000 cover court time too?
No, and we'd rather you know that before you reserve, not after. The $1,000 is your lifetime membership: no monthly or annual membership fee, ever. Court time is booked per session in the app, and founding members pay 75% off the standard rate, for life. Play a few times a month and the membership pays for itself fast, but court time is not free, and we won't pretend it is.
What does "groundbreaking" actually mean?
Shovels in the ground at 1939 3rd Ave, the day construction physically begins. Not permits, not paperwork, not a press release. We'll announce the date well in advance in the Build Journal, and every founding member gets notified directly before anything is collected.
What if I change my mind?
Any time before groundbreaking, ask and your $100 comes back in full. No questions, no forms, no hard feelings. After groundbreaking, your full $1,000 is in the build; that's the point of no return for all of us, us most of all.
What if the club doesn't get built?
Every deposit is returned in full. That's the deal: you risk nothing until shovels are in the ground.
Will my rate go up when the club grows?
Never. Your founding rate is our thank-you, for believing in us before the doors open. Regardless of how the club grows or evolves, your rate stays exactly as it is. Forever. (And since it's a lifetime membership, "your rate" is zero from here on out.)

What does $50 get me today?
It reserves your Club '27 membership and locks your rate at $50 a month. At opening, your first two months are free and your third month is already paid. Regular billing starts in month four, and only then.
Is the $50 refundable like the founding deposit?
Yes. Same promise, same account, same cutoff. Any time before groundbreaking, ask and your $50 comes back in full. After groundbreaking, it converts to your first paid month, delivered when we open.
Do I need my own racquet?
No. Racquets on us, every member, every session. Show up with shoes and a booking; we handle the rest. Fall in love with the game first, buy gear later if you want to.
Why is there no cap on this one?
The Founding Hundred is capped because it is a piece of the club's origin story. Club '27 is capped by time instead: it closes permanently the day we break ground. After that, monthly membership returns at the standard rate, without the lock.
Why does booking 14 days ahead actually matter?
Because courts are limited and everyone wants the same hours. On a weekday evening there are only a handful of prime slots across the whole club. Members see the calendar 14 days out. Everyone else books much closer to game day. In practice, that means members lock in their preferred time week after week, and casual players take whatever is left. It is the quiet perk that ends up mattering most.
What happens to my rate if I cancel later?
The $50 rate holds for as long as your membership stays active. Cancel after opening and you can always come back, but at the standard rate. The lock is our thank-you for committing before the club exists.
Can I switch to a Founding Lifetime Membership later?
Yes, while founding spots remain. Your $50 applies in full toward the $100 founding reservation. When the hundred are gone, they are gone.
The Club
Is the clubhouse still happening?
The vision hasn't changed; the order has. First, the courts: funded, dated, opening Fall 2027. When they fill up, we add more. When Columbus proves it loves padel the way we think it will, Phase Two brings the clubhouse: rooftop views, cafe, pro shop, all of it. The clubhouse is earned by demand, not promised on a date. Founding members are how we get there, and your rate never changes, no matter how far we go.
Where does my money go before the club opens?
Your reservation is held in a dedicated account and only drawn upon at groundbreaking. You're not just paying early; you're helping make the vision real, responsibly.
When can I play once we open?
Anytime. Literally. The courts run 24/7 on a smart, self-serve model: book in the app, and the gate unlocks for you. Whether you're an early riser or a midnight hitter, the game is always on your schedule. Staffed or unstaffed, the club is open, and the game is on.
How does the self-serve model work?
Book in the app, walk up, the gate unlocks for you. Some hours there will be a team on site, running sessions and keeping things sharp; other hours the club is all yours. Staffed or unstaffed, the club stays open and operational for anyone in Columbus who wants to play, at any hour.
